The Packers didn’t play well at the beginning of the game last night, giving up a safety in the first quarter. Two changes were made that I think turned the game around in the second half.
First is that they used the fullback more to help run block. I don’t like seeing Cobb in the backfield, but I think using Kuhn to run block will help the ground game. Also, Kuhn can catch the ball and pass catching fullbacks and tight ends have always been the hallmark of the west coast offense. With poor TE play, Kuhn needs to a bigger role in the playoffs.
Second, the no huddle offense had a big impact on Washington’s defense in tiring them out, which slowed their pass rush and protection.
