I thought of you when I read this quote from “Things Hidden: Scripture as Spirituality” by Richard Rohr –
“The killing of Jesus is a judgment on how blind we all can be when we are enjoying the perks and privileges of power. Bad power, which always eliminates its opponents, killed Jesus. In Jesus’ lifetime that bad power was exercised by both Roman Empire and Jewish high priests, but you can change the names in every age and every culture.”
