I thought of you when I read this quote from “Things Hidden: Scripture as Spirituality” by Richard Rohr –
“If you want to do an interesting exercise to demonstrate this, just go to the four Gospels and make a two-column list. In one, list those people who fight Jesus every step of the way. Almost always they are the people in the inner courts of the temple. In the other column, list those people who consistently respond to Jesus. Who are these ? They’re almost always in those seven groups above who were declared unworthy and outside the temple.”
